Actividades in the area:
Playa Escondida (Hidden Beach). Just a 10-minute walk from the Hotel, there’s a small beach, literally hidden between two rock barriers. There is service of chairs and awnings and there is also a small shop where you can buy drinks.
Galipán. Visit this beautiful and picturesque village located on the El Avila National Park. From the Hotel go to Macuto and take a vehicle that will take you to the top of the mountain. Enjoy the warmth of the locals and their traditional food.
El Pozo del Cura. This nice place is just a 2-hour drive away from the hotel, on the coastal road towards the village of Caruao. The entry (with a parking lot near an Inn) is on the route leading to Chuspa. From there you walk toward this great well, which is formed by the river Aguas Calientes. The crystal- clear stream flows down the mountain ledge in the form of small cascades, to form a deep well. Above this well there’s the Salto El Tobogán, with an excellent natural swimming pool. El Pozo del Cura is 17 meters in the deepest part.
Beaches of the coast road. A good day and a road trip (we recommend a 4 wheel drive) that’s the beautiful "Coastal Road", which spans about 90 kms from Los Caracas to Higuerote. In this road there are different beaches to visit, such as Playa de Los Indios in Chuspa. From Los Caracas, crossing Osma and Caruao, Todasana, La Sabana one gets to this little town which is about 43 km from Los Caracas. All the way is paved, save a stretch between La Sabana and Caruao. Initially inhabited by fishermen, the village of Chuspa offers visitors different beaches with unique landscapes and a spectacular mouth of river as one of its main attractions. There the boatmen cooperative association sells tickets to sail to beaches such as La Rayita, El Tigrillo, El Banquito, and Los Indios. But also those who don't want to go so far will find nice beaches in Los Caracas, like Todasana and others.
